Abstract
Kosoto is a town in Nigeria once considered one of the least developed, but it transformed into a thriving hub after the discovery of oronoid, a valuable liquid mineral resource. Oronoid became essential for fuel supplementation and the purification of metals like iron and zinc, propelling Kosoto to global prominence. As the town’s economy flourished, its environment blossomed into a paradise. However, the town’s prosperity was undermined by neglect, and the mismanagement of its resources led to its decline. Tears In Kosoto explores this narrative, highlighting the rise and fall of a once-thriving town and the consequences of environmental neglect.
