Abstract:

A determined environmentalist, Ja’en Ja’en, embarks on a research expedition in Kano, Nigeria, to study environmental degradation and its link to unsustainable practices like logging and slash-and-burn agriculture. Battling harsh conditions, limited resources, and societal misconceptions, he collects data on tree species, soil, and land use while advocating for sustainable farming practices. His findings reveal the farmer’s potential as a custodian of forest resources amidst a pressing need for environmental preservation in the face of desertification.
